The validity and reliability of ISON's psychometric tests are very high and exceed those of many of the better known medical tests (e.g., the Pap test).

What are psychometric tests for?

Psychometric tests offer the experts who use them objectivity and accuracy. They can quickly and specifically capture a great many human characteristics. They record each characteristic they measure in a clear and quantifiable way, thus enabling a multidimensional and unbiased understanding of the psychosynthesis of each person. This leads to differential diagnosis with accuracy and completeness.

Personality assessment: Psychological assessments delve into the personality traits and behavioral patterns of an individual. Psychologists can assess how a person copes with stress and challenges, which is important for understanding their functioning.

Cognitive function: Psychometric assessments can evaluate in detail an individual's cognitive abilities, such as thinking, reasoning, judgement and problem-solving ability.

Self-awareness and empathy: Psychological assessments can evaluate a person's emotional intelligence, including their ability to understand and manage their own emotions and empathise with others. Emotional intelligence can be vital to effective interpersonal relationships and overall mental health.

Detection of unspecified symptoms: psychometric assessments are more sensitive to detecting subtle symptoms or early signs of serious mental health problems that may not be immediately apparent to a psychiatrist or psychologist.

The above demonstrates that a combined psychiatric and psychological examination using psychometric questionnaires offers a comprehensive and clearly discriminating understanding of an individual's mental state, particularly with regard to mental health resilience and emotional stability.

The Minnesota Multidimensional Personality Questionnaire (MMPI®-2) examines 120 traits of human personality and behavior, making it a leading diagnostic tool in a variety of applications. It is the most widely used and most researched psychometric test in the world. Its high reliability lies in its 10 validity scales, which ensure the validity and accuracy of the results.

The MMPI®-2 has been adapted and published in Greece with exclusive rights granted by the University of Minnesota to ISON.

Meet VIS2

The VIS2 Psychometric Tool aims to help young people to gain the necessary self-awareness to make the right decisions about their future and to answer the crucial question "what do I like to do more and what do I like to do less?".

Through a series of 192 questions, the test translates examinees' interests into career areas, helping them to make informed and mature educational and career decisions. The test can be completed individually or as part of the e-mellon Integrated Career Guidance System.

Meet the PTQ

The Personality Traits Questionnaire is based on Carl Jung's famous typology. It is the most widely used typology for Career Counselling purposes worldwide, because of the easy-to-understand way in which individual differences are described.

The results of the test help test takers to gain an objective picture of their personality traits and link them directly to specific educational fields and professional categories, so that they are able to choose between the professions that best suit them.

The PTQ test can be completed individually or as part of the e-mellon Integrated Career Guidance System.

The aim of e-mellon is to help young people gain self-awareness so that they can make the right decisions for their future. With e-mellon they can clarify what they are most comfortable with, what suits them best and what they like best.

Meet the AAT

Τα Advanced Aptitude Tests (AAT) αποτελούν μία συστοιχία 12 Τεστ Ικανοτήτων που ως σκοπό έχουν την αξιολόγηση ικανοτήτων του υποψηφίου, απαραίτητων στο πλαίσιο διαφόρων εργασιακών συνθηκών. Αξιολογείται, δηλαδή, το κατά πόσο ένα άτομο είναι σε θέση να ανταποκριθεί στις απαιτήσεις που είναι σύμφυτες με το ίδιο το περιεχόμενο και το αντικείμενο της κάθε επαγγελματικής δραστηριότητας.

Η δημιουργία των τεστ ικανοτήτων ΑΑΤ βασίστηκε στη θεωρία γνωστικών ικανοτήτων των Cattell – Horn – Carroll (CHC), η οποία αποτελεί μία από τις πιο καθιερωμένες, επιστημονικώς αποδεδειγμένες και επιβεβαιωμένες στην πράξη προσεγγίσεις για την ανάλυση δομής των γνωστικών ικανοτήτων του ατόμου. Οι μετρήσεις των ικανοτήτων συνεισφέρουν σημαντικά στο χώρο της ανάπτυξης και της οργάνωσης του ανθρώπινου δυναμικού. The IO1® Self-Image Questionnaire is used to detect the way in which the person sees him/herself. The analysis of self-perception and self-image leads to important conclusions about the maturity and constitution of the individual. The duration of the examination is 15 - 20 minutes.
