The purpose of the training is to equip the trainee with specialized theoretical and practical knowledge, so that they can utilize the MMPI-2 with greater accuracy and comprehensiveness in complex cases, adapt their interpretive approach to the specific assessment request, and synthesize the tool’s findings in a clinically and scientifically sound manner.
This seminar is intended exclusively for psychologists who have already been trained in the administration and basic interpretation of the MMPI-2 and have relevant experience in using this psychometric tool.
This course is intended for professionals who seek to deepen their understanding of the use and interpretation of the MMPI-2, broaden their repertoire of analytical skills, and enhance their ability to respond to complex, specialized, and highly specific assessment requests, particularly in clinical and forensic settings.
Upon completion of the training, the trainee is expected to be able to:
- Recognize and utilize specialized indicators and analytical data from the MMPI-2, beyond the basic interpretation of the scales.
- Analyze and synthesize the examinee’s profile based on different scales, indicators, and combinations of findings.
- Adapt the interpretive approach to each specific assessment request, taking into account the clinical, legal, or other context in which the MMPI-2 is used.
- To draw on the relevant literature for the evidence-based interpretation of specific and complex findings.
- Identify and evaluate critical information that may be of particular importance in specific clinical or legal cases.
- To translate the findings of the psychometric assessment into clinically useful information that can contribute to the development of therapeutic, counseling, or other professional interventions.
- To develop a more comprehensive and scientifically validated assessment profile, utilizing the MMPI-2 as part of the overall psychological evaluation.
